Destiny disc download problems

I'll start by saying sorry if there is, a thread about this but I'm tired of looking and tired of racking my brain on this. My problem is I went and bought destiny, getting home redeem all the codes I got for xbox 360 etc. Finally put in the game and of
course it needs to download more. Now that being said I have plenty of space and my hardrive is fine. When I put the disc in it starts downloading an update that is 5.5 gigs and I assume it finished it because it then moves on to another download of 3.77 gb.
Now on this one it will get to 39% downloaded then revert back to 0%. What the fawk. This had been going on for.... 3 hours and over lost patience. Please, someone, anyone tell me whats up.

Inexplicably spotty Live connection

Yeah I'm using the disc version of the game, but the one thing I haven't had any issues with is downloads. The first-run system update, controller update, Destiny update, and Destiny Vanguard Armory DLC all downloaded fine.

I'll definitely post in here if I solve my problems.

 

Destiny problems?

I have the same problems. I don't have any disc on FFXI or on Defiance but it happens on Destiny over and over. Even Netflix, didn't ever get disc and with Destiny it happens more than 5 times per day. Either someone is doing it on purpose or I have lousiest
connection in the world's biggest city... somehow.

 

To recap, and not go crazy when the destiny disc is on its downloading some updates. But on the second one which is 3.77 gb it will get to 39% - 1.51 of 3.77 gb then the little percentage circle restarts at 0. Never seen this CRAP before. Getting very aggitated.

 

I'm going to delete everything its done accept my redeemable codes if that doesnt work I personally am out of ideas and would appreciate any kind of reply.

 

Well I solved it myself. After deleting it all and downloading the 5.51 again it didn't do the 3.37 idk wtf but oh well I'm on. See you on the other side

 

Sounds like the updates and the game are fighting against each other. Disconnect your 360 from live and install the game. After that reconnect and then install updates/dlc. This happens on Xbox One as well and this usually is a work around for it.
