[Destiny Beta Woes] My Xbox One's Internet Connection Keeps Cutting Off

Hey guys.

I've seen others have this problem too so let me go into detail about this problem we're having.

We're playing the Destiny Beta, no lag whatsoever and suddenly the game freezes and gives us the "canary" error telling us that we have no internet connection. I tested to see where the problem lies (either my Xbox or on Bungie's end) and I found that it
was indeed my Xbox losing connection. I snapped a Twitch stream while playing and both my game and the stream disconnected from the internet.

I don't have this problem on the 360, my internet speed and router are way above par for the requirements, my NAT is open and I have a strong signal.

What can we do to solve this?

First of all ensure your hub is setup like this

I am having the same problem and have yet to find a solution. The error tells me to go to xboxlive and search for the error code "canary" but the search comes up empty. I have also had the error "vulture" which also does not show up in the search results.

I have been having issues with my internet and I thought maybe I was getting the error for that reason so I am glad someone else could confirm they are having the same error.

 

Turn of your Xbox not using the line to than unplug it for 1 minute than restart it and it should work

 

I am having this too, but when I hard-reset my xbox, it does nothing, my NAT type is open but I do get disconnected as well. Has anyone got more ideas to how to fix this? (I reset my router too but nothing has happened) and it has only happened since I downloaded
the beta.

 

Have similiar problem but only with destiny beta when i play on titanfall everything is fine they back to destiny and after 10 min of game i have messege that i lost connection with internet ?.

 

I am having a problem. When I launch the Destiny Beta it just shows a dark screen and never starts. Anyone know how to fix this. This on my 360 by the way

beta destiny of every 4 minutes ago I quit giving me any error code the problem as "Caterpillar", impossible to play .... always always problems with this ONE, Microsoft has done an incredibly poor job with this console..i'm so disappointed

Guys, try unplugging everything, first unplug the xbone, then interenet, wait a good minute, replug internet, plug console, it actually solved the problem, wow, im shocked it actually worked for me!!

 

Hey guys, sorry I didn't update this sooner, however this should sort any problems that arise at the retail launch.

My issue was my router and how much data it was trying to transfer in wireless mode. I found a solution to my Virgin Media Superhub 2 on Bungie.net and posted it here:

However for other routers, type in your IP address into the browser of your choice, and try and turn down how much data your router is transferring. Mine was originally set to 450mbps and turning it right down to 54mbps fixed my problem (and no there is
literally no noticeable difference in speeds).
