destiny beta thoughts

it might just be me but the game was cool for the first 30 min and just got boring the little bit of story they allow is very weak didn't pull me in at all and it gets very repetitive with the waves of enemies on the multiplayer side its good but just
didn't pull me in dont know if it will be a day 1 pickup for me whats your thoughts on the beta

i thought this issue was only while playing the destiny beta is it happening across the board too?

 

Where do can I find the download for The Crew open beta?

how do you get the code? this is an open beta like destiny was, so I thought I could just find it and download it?

 

Played through the beta content with my son today and can honestly say we were both pretty bored with it, doubt it's going to have enough depth/complexity to keep me playing long term.

Think I will be giving this a couple of months see how it turns out.

 

Been in the alpha and now beta keeps me coming back. Enjoying it a lot.

 

I thought it was very good, definite day one purchase for me.

 

It's pretty good. I'll probably buy it. Based on what I've seen so far, I don't think it's GOTY material like people were declaring it would be. But it's a solid game none the less.

 

Its okay for what it is. I dont get the repetitive remark the OP makes though. Its an MMO. They are known to be repetitive.

Like I said in another thread this is way way over hyped. Its just a reskinned Halo MMO. I am sure the final version will have more content, but its not GOTY material or the best new IP ever. It will sell extremely well but I dont see the community lasting
a full year, especially not two years when the next game is rumored to release.

 

I just had a chance to play and made it to the Tower, but I'm enjoying it so far.

 

I pulled an all-nighter and completed all of the quest missions, tried the multiplayer, etc. Now I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do next. As far as I can tell, there's nothing left but to replay the same missions over again on a harder difficulty
and grind for experience and unlockables - that's it. It looks great and plays great, but I definitely want more and whether the retail release will deliver is what will make or break this game for me...

 

I have not really seen any MMO elements in the game yet. I played for 2.5 hours yesterday and I didn't see another player. Not even at the tower for the 5 minutes I was there. Planetside 2 is an MMO, Firefall is an MMO. This game is more like Borderlands
with the RPG elements and character progression. Also the drop-in drop- out online objectives like Dead Island. Its not massive but it is multiplayer-online.

Every game that comes out there will be people that say its the GOTY so you can't go by what people say. I do think the community for Destiny will be greater than Watchdogs and Titanfall though.

 

^There's something wrong with your game. Every time I have been to the tower, there's at least 20 other people there, minimum. And whenever I go down to earth, there's at least 4 or 5 random people running around shooting stuff.

 

As the game doesn't run locally, there can't be something wrong with their game.

In the alpha it was not uncommon for me to be in the Tower alone, go to orbit, then come back to the Tower and see a bunch of people. It's just another instance of how instancing every zone can cause strange things to happen.

 

So Titanfall deserves to be hyped into sky but Destiny as more complex and more interesting is booed? Some people are just pathetic.

 

The more I play it the more I like it. I'm sure when the full game gets released there will be alot more quests and side quests to do . Most betas are just stress tests anyhow. But for a beta I think the controls are nice and tight and I love the graphics
and art style. I will be getting it for sure.
