    The Destiny beta is now open to the public. You no longer need a code to download it. Check your home page on your console or go to the marketplace and download the beta now.

    Hi just thought I would pop in and provide an update. The Destiny beta is now live on all platforms and open to the public. No code required.

    Oh, I think you are mistaking 'Open beta' for 'Public beta' Public beta would be available to everyone, where open beta is available to those with codes, and a closed beta is usually for developers and some other lucky folks sometimes.

    Yes, it should be open to everybody on all platforms.

    @bowski477, Public betas ARE usually open to everyone. The BF3 Beta, Halo 3 and Reach Betas, or Steam Betas for example.

    Microsoft is one of the very few who even limit public betas.
