Beta for what? If you mean Destiny then your to late,it's finished.

It went free to all gold members anyway so you didn't need a code.

 

Beta Code Error

Was getting this svc60017 code for the destiny beta - turns out my xbox live gold had expired.

 

It's good that they are stress testing the servers. But it's annoying that they made such a big deal about codes and then made the one I have left useless.

 

Whats really funny is I just won another code on Twitter.

Yeah I agree why make a big deal with codes if they open it up lol. I'm glad they did just odd.

 

I didn't feel there was that much of a big deal with the codes, as I saw them being handed out en masse in several forums. Haven't there been some other betas that have opened up the floodgates, after the first round or two of codes,to give the servers a
real beating?

 

I agree with Sword, why bother with the codes? Initial testing of the servers you say? Well just release it to the US for the first few days and voila, exactly the same affect without the silly useless codes.

 

The codes are to get people to pre-order...typical ploy to gauge interest and get the $ rolling in early. This, along with a "emblem" or some other "pre-order bonus" is how they get everyone hooked in (and, as people continue to get used to pre-order, they
then occasionally fall for those games that aren't worth pre-ordering)

 

Ever that or there just isn't the amount of people playing the beta that they had hoped for, So they just open it to everyone.

 

I think it's great that they made it an open beta. My girlfriend and her brother were now able to get the beta! I'm downloading it now. I'm excited to play it!
