Destiny Beta falls at the first hurdle

No problems here set it downloading went to bed got up and all ready, just played 1hr half

 

God I wish I could get better internet speed's, taking ages for me.

 

That won't just be your speed Goat. That's about a million+ people downloading it, same as you.

 

Scratch my last message, did a hard reset and it seems to have gone on to the start of the game, hope you all get in soon, see you in old russia

 

@Fatal, yeah more than likely mate..... The 5mbps doesn't help though lol.

 

mine downloaded/installed within 30 mins without a hiccup

 

@EVIL GENIUS. I was a little concerned because I did start the game at 3%, as soon as I saw it was just another install screen in game I quit out. Hopefully it doesn't give me any problem's. Seems ok but just slow going like I said.

 

You're supposed to wait until 100% install, the 2% "ready" was marked as a mistake by Bungie.

As soon as I got outta bed this morning, I fired both consoles up and put them on to download the beta and left for work. Come back home after 3 and a half hours and both were done Just let your console do its thing, go do something else and let it download.
The moral of the story is be patient and just wait.

 

I set mine downloading just after midnight UK time. It said 'ready to start' after just a few seconds but stuck at 8% then came up with an error saying file corrupted. I deleted it and tried again and it downloaded just fine.

What a childish knee jerk reaction OP!

 

I had to let mine download overnight; actually started @6pm EST. I also started at 16% and tried to play before I found out we wasn't suppose to. I exited out though hopefully I can play tonight when I get home from work. It took sooo long to download.

 

Just want to thank you guys for testing my game and experiencing all the bugs and frustration so I don't have to.

 

I installed without issue, however had a friend who had the same issue, his error game when when opened the beta while it was installing, so he deleted it started again and didn't open it until fully installed and didn't have a problem second time.

(However it is a beta, issues like this happen, but the idea is they fix them for the launch, better happening now than in sepetember)

 

Mine took about 3.5 hours to download. I get 24down at my xbox wired.
