Destiny Beta falls at the first hurdle

I am annoyed with how long it is taking for my download as well. I have been downloading for about 3.4 hours now and am almost done finally but it should not have taken this long. BUT!!!!! This is a BETA!!! Stop complaining everyone, this is not the game,
the entire purpose of this is to fix the bugs before the launch (and to try and hype the game some more of course).

Hi, I think this was the final hurdle, & I have fallen. Issue still not resolved.

 

With the amount of people trying to download it at the same time what did you expect OP?

 

Hey is anyone getting an error saying " We couldnt find your code " while reedeming the code ?

I was downloading it on two separate xbox ones at the same time. It took a while (90 min?), it would randomly stop. I'm sure the issue is so many people trying to download at once.

I would go out on a limb and guess that the mass download from all the codes they are handing out is part of the stress test so they can have a smooth launch. They have big money invested in this game. This isn't some half ased money grab release. They
are shoveling money into the furnace as we speak. They anticipate this game to be the next big thing. Look at all the other games/companies clearing the path. No one wants to go toe to toe with this monster. Anyone who is getting their panties in a bunch
needs to suck it up. Pouting in a corner while everyone else is having a ball in this game is only hurting you.

Btw, I've had zero issues in game. Everything was smooth as butter.

Dude, it's a beta. It genuinely seems like you do not know the purpose of a beta release is. Its free, so relax.

 

So I downloaded the beta and after the file was corrupted I was able to get it working by turning off my xbox one and signing back on and starting the beta again.

My issue is that I tried starting a party with my friend. I immediately lost connection and now I keep seeing a message that says "waiting for party stabilization" so I can't go to the tower or any if the spots in Russia. And to add insult to injury, Everytime
I turn my Xbone on I'm forced to type in my Microsoft account password...

I'm shutting it down for the night and hopefully my xbox starts workin normally again. I never changed any of my settings, in fact I double checked to make sure everything was the way I had it, including my auto sign in, without Kinect. If anyone else is
having similar issues please let me know. Especially if you have a fix. Lol

 

ok last night mine said corrupted at 87%, which gutted me so i uninstalled and started again, this time i stayed in Games and apps and did not launch the game, woke up this morning to find the download had finished. Also Bungie has announced on its twitter
page that the corrupted file is a fake error, you should dismiss the warning, quit the beta and just go into games and apps to watch the download progress from there, and again DO NOT launch until its finished. Which i now wish i had known before i tried it
twice. Also Xbox live service is down which appears to affect Destiny, i cannot get past the intro sequence after i create my character. typical :|

 

What a troll. The theme tune sounds similar, and you couldn't finish your download in the middle of heavy traffic, so you are going to cancel your order. The only one hurt by that will be you, so by all means.

 

@Crafty79 according to bungie, power down your xbox completely (hard reset, unplug power) and try again. Thats what seems to be on their twitter feed
