Destiny Beta Black Screen Xbox 360

So, I was able to fully install the Destiny Beta, but when I try to launch it I only get a black screen. Xbox 360 works fine, I can return to dashboard from the black screen, but no game. I'm hoping I'll just have to spend another 5 hours re-installing
it....

Slim Xbox 360 w/ 250GB HD

Problem started yesterday 7/31/14, late afternoon.

Did all the steps and deleted the last thing I downloaded (Destiny Beta, which I never got to play). Still black screen when launching apps, disc-only games, etc.

Redownloading may or may not help.....

 

It most likely was a messed up download, just not messed up enough for my 360 to call it corrupt. Still downloading the second...

 

Second download, still just a black screen.... Seems more like an alpha to me

 

I'm having the same issue as you, my internet connection is great, and yet when I open the game it goes to a black screen and nothing happens. Really frustrating, can't wait to play the game.

 

I'm very new to xbox live so I thought it was me just being a.....well noob haha

 

I figured out that you need to have it downloaded onto a hard drive. If you install it to a flash drive, it will not work. I have a 250GB one, so it works fine for me.

 

It would have been nice to know I have to have the hdd before went through all the trouble of getting the beta....

 

Most every game ever made for download on a console requires a HDD......

Sometimes the fine print is worth reading.... JMHO.

Is your Nat open? I had the same issue and had a strict Nat. I just port forwarded and opened up all the Xbox ports on my router. Haven't had an issue since. Check out portforward.com for helpful instructions on how to do this on your router.

What do you mean? It will require a hard drive in order to play on the Xbox 360. In regards to Nat issues I kept getting an error and it would not load due to my Nat set to strict on both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Port forwarding via my router fixed it
and the beta ran no problems. Full game release may also need you to open up your Nat as well. The website I linked has detailed instructions on how to properly port forward on your router.
