Destiny: Beagle error code

I cannot speak for Xbox One users or users with a digital download on Xbox 360, I have a retail disc copy. The fix is simple. Delete the Destiny content on your storage device as Bungie suggests but, install the disc instead of running the game and downloading
the 5GB+ of content from the network.

Most 360 games on disc allow you to install the game to the hard drive by pressing X and selecting Install which you should do with Destiny. If you do not do this, the game will install the disc content for you but from the Internet and not from disc. This
5GB+ of unneeded download is what is failing the verification. The disc install takes up 7GB.

 

I went and got the disc copy for XB1 after getting a refund for the digital copy. So far I've got to play twice for a total of about 5 hours. Before I was only getting 15 minutes, but some people reported multiple hours before the next crash. The other people
that have tried this seem to be having luck as well, so this may be a fix for those with the digital copy on XBox One receiving beagle.

 

@"Foolish Genius", saying the fix is simple is only true if you have a disc copy, getting a refund on digital copies sounds like a pain. Glad this is working for you. Do all Xbox One disc games install to the hard drive before you're able to play?

The crashes appear to be random but they trigger a verification process on the next go. This verification process maybe what is flawed not necessarily the downloads themselves. There doesn't appear to be a verification process on disc installed content.

The above advice from the bungie.net forums didn't work for me -- Just FYI. Are you all still experiencing this out there?

 

I never said it was simple lol I spent four full days working and waiting to fix this error, with no help from Bungie. The refund was also very easy to get. I'd assume assuring them I was going to buy a disc copy, and the fact that the game was essentially
unplayable both helped.

Yes, you have to install all disc copies on XB1.

It appears to have solved the problem. Feel safe to say that with 12+ hours of game play logged. One single other error, a random Baboon that sent me back to orbit. Anyone getting beagle from the XBox One digital version should ask for a refund to go buy
a disc copy. Then uninstall the downloaded version and install the disc. I actually didn't even do a hard reset or anything in between.

 

.... it never is easy is it ... I'm going to talk to support now and get my refund.... what a pain. I'll see how that goes. Unfortunately, I don't get to game as much as I used to (or would like to) with Kids, Work, etc... so spending hours just trying
to install isn't really what I want to have happened.

 

Im in NZ, open NAT, no network issue, getting alot of disconnections, during the day, which is evening time in the US.

Im getting "Centipede" error only. but this was not happening before uploading expansion/DLC and game updates.

I do notice that early evening and night time here I get no issues what so ever....do your errors happen anytime of day or night? just a thought.

XBOX1 - Digital download - open NAT - Lynksys Router - 17mb down - <1mb up.

 

The error I have has been at all hours of the day unfortunately...

 

I'm some where around my 30th re-install (wish that was a joke but sadly not) and the game is still getting the Beagle error. Furthest I've made it since I bought the game on lunch was past the 1st mission then it crashed and I have never made it that far
again. I've tried power cycling and factory rest. I have a feeling using a different internet connection might work but I have yet to have a chance to test it. m=Makes no sense why mine doesn't work because I'm getting 0 disconnections and 0 packet loss. With
35mb download and 6mb upload. Wish someone had some sort of direction to go on this. Please keep me posted on any ideas to fix this issue.

 

EVERYONE SAME HERE only difference with me is i cant even play 1st day downloaded it transferring content gets to 100 then beagle message pops up do same thing again same thing happens i wish i got to play the game atleast 20 or 15 min.

 

I have a problem with updating Destiny. Every time i try and update it it says something went wrong? I tried to fix it with the xbox toturial. But that was not helpfull. Please help! I can't play Destiny now! It is for the xbox one.

 

Any news relating to this problem???? I just got the game and id very much like to play it.

 

I found a fix for the owners of the digital version of Destiny (of whom I am one). Steps to resolve:

1. Delete the compatibility update (140+ mb) and the saved content (2mb) from your HDD
   
2. Clear the cache
3. Open/forward the ports described here:
   www.bungie.net/.../11930
4. Start Destiny and allow it to install all updates - it should be working now

I had attempted multiple full re-download & installs with no success until I also cleared the cache and opened the appropriate ports on my router. Interestingly, I did not need to do a full re-download of the game itself for this to work, although if the
above steps fail I would recommend also adding that (just in case).

I use a disk and I'm getting the same problem. Have since day one.
