Destiny 360 - The Taken King Failing to Register My Purchase

In short... I bought TTK DLC for the 360 (I was lead to believe), and the game is failing to recognize I paid the $40 bucks already.

So, the long version. A couple of months ago I want to pre-purchase TTK for the 360. Gamestop guy says it's only being done digitally, nothing through them. I then go through the Xbox Live game add-ons, nothing for the 360. Ok, I go to Destiny's website
to find/buy it (https://www.destinythegame.com/taken-king/wheretobuy). The 360 link took me to the same place as the X1 link, onto a Xbox live store page (and it still does
after the release as of 7:30 am 9/15/2015). I read through the description for the DLC and is says nothing about X1 exclusive... so I was lead to believe that this was a Xbox live version that could be used for either console (by Destiny's and Xbox's websites).
This morning I load up Destiny, try to watch the trailer (cause why not), and it asks me if I want to purchase the DLC. I am locked out of TTK's story mission, and now I'm quite upset to say the least.

Destiny: The Taken King Purchase issues

I just purchased Destiny: The Taken King via the Microsoft store site. I followed the link on the Destiny: The Taken King site to purchase the game for Xbox 360. Although the link said purchase for Xbox One, I assumed that this purchase would transfer across
both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles, as I found no other option for purchasing The Taken King. However, after purchasing The Taken King content for $42.75, I can find no way to access this content on my Xbox 360. Is there a way to access the content on
Xbox 360, or to receive a refund for my purchase, as I do not own an Xbox one.

We are definitely excited about the recent release of Destiny: The Taken King and we wanted to make sure that you have all the proper information regarding purchasing The Taken King. We have listed a few different scenarios you may encounter while trying to
purchase Destiny: The Taken King and have included the best process make sure that your purchase runs smoothly.

Scenario 1- I currently do not own Destiny and I want to purchase Destiny: The Taken king:

• From the Xbox 360 console, navigate to Games and search for Destiny.
• Select Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition or Collector's Edition and then select Purchase.
  
• Once you have selected Purchase, select Confirm Purchase.
• Most content will automatically install after you confirm the purchase.
• After you have purchased Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition or Collector's Edition navigate to Games from the Dashboard.
  
• Select Games and then select My Games.
• Launch Destiny and a few updates will install.
• Once the updates have successfully completed, you should be ready to go!

Scenario 2- Destiny The Taken King was purchased on a different profile on my Xbox 360 and I want to play the game:

• If a friend or family member has purchased Destiny: The Taken King on your console, but it was purchased on a different profile, you may run into an error code while trying to launch the Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition or Collector's Edition bundle
  app.
• If you do run into an error code while launching the bundle app, navigate to My Games on your Xbox 360 console.
  
• From My Games select Destiny and launch the game. At this point, a couple of updates should install.
  
• Once the updates have completed, you should now be able to play the game. Keep in mind, you may be unable to access certain DLC content from the bundle app until you have progressed to a certain storyline in the game.
  

Scenario 3- I already own Destiny, Destiny Expansion 1: The Dark Below and Destiny Expansion 2: House of Wolves and I want to purchase Destiny: The Taken King:

• If you're an existing Destiny owner that has already purchased Destiny Expansion 2: House of Wolves and Destiny Expansion 1: The Dark Below, you are eligible to purchase the standalone "Taken King" add on. You can purchase the standalone Taken King add-on
  in-game by launching Destiny on you Xbox 360 console.
• Press the A button to Play and then select your character.
• Select Set Destination and hover over The Taken King logo to the right of the Tower/Earth.
  
• Press A for more information.
• Click Purchase under the Destiny: The Taken King option and then confirm the purchase.

Hi - I did the same - I purchased the Taken King on XBox Live on Sept 5 and now I am trying to enjoy my purchase but my console says I do not have the Taken King.

So... got a text message claiming that the issue was resolved. Logged into Destiny, zero change. Logged into the Xbox 360 support, only issue is with the IGN app......... BACK TO SQUARE 1
