    That is probably your TV losing sync with the console video output. Have you tried using a different HDMI cable?

    You will have to figure out if maybe the TV is part of the problem. If it also goes black on other inputs (eg cable STB), then the problem may be the TV and not the console or cable.

    Hey there Patriots1978!

    Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this issue.

    This is happening just to Destiny 2, or with all games?

    If is affecting all of your games, I would probably try another HDMI cable right off the bat, or try making sure that everything is set up the way it is outlined in

    Troubleshooting a black TV screen or monitor while your Xbox One is on    .

    If it's only happening while playing that specific game, then I would suggest instead try the steps here on our gameplay issues article called

    "My Xbox One game won't start or freezes during gameplay"    .

    Give those steps a shot when and if you get a chance and keep us posted on how this helped.
