    Destiny 2 "You Already Own this Content" DLC error issue


    So I recently un-liked my PC account as my main cross save account from my Xbox and PlayStation accounts. I am trying to access content from past seasons on Xbox such as Battlegrounds and Presage. However, when I try to do so it tells me I need to buy the Deluxe edition of Beyond Light which I already did before the DLC came out. Also I should metion when I try to act like I am going to buy the content I get a "You already Own This content" error, and I checked My Games and Apps and the DLC is there but it wont let me access all of the content. Also I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the DLC and that didnt work or fix anything. I also tried the same thing on my un-linked PS account and had no issues accessing past content, which also has had the Deluxe edition for a while and while I had to buy a season pass I had no issues on Finally a few weeks ago Xbox forced me to buy the Deluxe edition a second time the issues was not resolved.

    Since I already have season pass, I will be getting the House Of Wolves DLC and hopefully Bungie / Activision will be releasing " free " DLC as an apology for the lack of content in the core Destiny 1 game.

    The only way that I will be going anywhere near Destiny 2 is if the core content of Destiny 2 is as big as...

    " Destiny 1 core content + The Dark Below DLC content + House Of Wolves DLC content "

    combined on the initial $60.00 of Destiny 2.

    Issue redeeming a Gift

    Just wanted to follow up on this for anyone else that should search and run into a similar issue.

    After a few MS support chats it was discovered that you need to own all the DLC first.

    The error in our case was caused by the fact that Destiny 2 and destiny 2 Forsaken are considered different games. If you own Destiny 2 and its DLC you cannot redeem the second season pass if you dont own the game Destiny 2 Forsaken as again its classed
    as a different game apparently.

    I failed to realise the season pass for Forsaken doesn't include forsaken...

    So in short if anyone else has a similar issue check if you can redeem the pass if you dont own the base game, even if the base game is now a piece of DLC.

    Destiny 2 DLC

    Hi, to play Forsaken on destiny 2, you also need the Curse of Osiris and Warmind. As you own Destiny 2 already, you will have to purchase The Expansion pass, which will give you the 1st two dlc, and then purchase the Forsaken dlc seperately.

    the game is destiny 2 (specifically the witchqueen dlc) and im not spending more money on a dlc i should already own
