Destiny 2 was hacked and connected to hackers xbox account

Hacker hacked my Steam account - then he went to my Destiny 2 and connected it to his xbox account.

I was able to recover Steam account - but now this hacker is still able to play with my Destiny 2 with his xbox account.

What I can do? I want my game back.

Is there a possibility to shutdown his xbox account so he is not able to play my game?

I feel very much violated by this.

Bungie will not help with this. Steam already helped to recover my account. Now question is with this Destiny 2.

I wish there was more we could do to help here. The best advice I can offer here is to continue contacting Bungie. Use their Bungie Help account on Twitter as well.

You could also try contacting Steam to get proof this happened to you. Maybe Bungie would be willing to help further if you had that info

Hello there,

In order to unlink an account, you first have to disable cross save and/or unlink accounts, you must be able to authenticate the accounts. Bungie cannot forcibly de-link them.

I would suggest contacting the platform concerning gaining access to the platform account.

If you are unable to gain access to the account, then you will not be able to deactivate cross save or unlink it from your current Bungie.net profile.

Destiny Player Support and Bungie cannot modify or remove accounts linked to Bungie.net profiles. To protect player privacy and data, you must be able to log in to any linked accounts to prove ownership prior to modifying your linked account. If you no longer have access to a linked account, you will need to reach out to the specific platform’s support for assistance with account recovery options.

So - this hacker can still play my game - he is impersonating me to my friends. I cannot get him out of my game. And I am not receiving help from Bungie whos game this is.

Can you do anything?

Bungie says that they will not help, they say that this is not their problem.

The interesting part of this: this has and will happen to others. They will grow up and one day they will be adults with money and they will remember who helped and who didn´t.

So far only Steam actually helped.

Sorry to hear it. Bungie stores all character information on their own servers. I'm afraid that in this case you would need to contact Bungie Support for help recovering your characters.
