Destiny 2 Shadowkeep no longer displayed as owned

So after updating my Xbox and Destiny 2, the game started verifying files for a bit. After it was done, it said that it could not read my game files and that I had to reinstall the game. I did so. After doing so, it no longer displayed Shadowkeep as being owned.

I previously had all the expansions, besides WQ, owned. The Forsaken Pack, BL, and 30th Pack are all owned. Is this just an issue that has to do with someone else on the Xbox buying the expansion and being shared with the rest of the accounts on the console, or do I have to worry about something else?

For context, I purchased Forsaken and Shadowkeep together in the Legendary Pack back in 2019 I think. I have had and played Shadowkeep content on the Xbox since then.

I’ve raised a ticket with Microsoft support they’re currently investigating but I previously owned Destiny 2 upgrade edition (which includes forsaken and shadowkeep) but for some reason shadowkeep stopped working so I uninstalled and reinstalled the whole game and now shadowkeep doesn’t show in Manage Game & Addons and it asks me to buy it rather than install it on the Xbox Store. Very weird.

It may be that you were gamesharing it from someone else who had purchased the game or you were playing it from Game Pass (It was removed from Game Pass last month).

Seems to be a somewhat common issue recently. My friend and I have every expansion for the game and maybe a few months ago we lost Shadowkeep completely, was still installed and everything but it said we dont own it anymore and when I went to reinstall the whole game it was no longer there. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any solution to this other than tracking down the purchase and requesting a refund or trying to get it back through customer service.

I highly recommend following the troubleshooting steps here:

After each step try to see if the issue is fixed!

First, please select System > Settings > account > remove accounts and then select your account and select Remove to confirm.

Then, hold down the power button for about 10 seconds, until the console shuts off, then unplug the power cord and wait for 2-3 minutes before plugging it back in and turn on the Xbox.

If the issue persists, please select System > Settings > devices and streaming > blue ray > persistent storage > clear three times > restart console.

If you are still encountering the same issue, please select System > Settings > System > Console info > Select Reset console > Choose Reset and keep my games and apps
