Destiny 2 Regional Lock Prevents users from accessing Real Game Version

Hi Gamers, I just want to share with you all, in case somebody is in the same predicament as myself and my husband and looking for answers. We are both die-hard Destiny players and followed the game from the first day it was launched. We both have XBoxOnes
from this region and are currently living in the Middle East. What our experience taught us is that, buying Digital Download copies of Destiny 2 (we pre-ordered 2 Digital Deluxe versions) with an XBoxOne from this region, with a US based credit card and all
associated addresses, will not allow you access to the real game version. We found this out after spending a few hours with Microsoft. So here's what happened. After pre-ordering the game in May, we waited for beta to open up. Played the beta version, no problems,
but I noticed at that time that no other worlds were open in my Director. Still I thought it was just a launch glitch, I patiently waited. But when launch day came in September 19, I found out that there were no other worlds open and I don't have access to
the real game. Checked my Xbox Live gold membership, checked whether I really owned the game on Manage Games - no problems there. To my frustration I completely uninstalled the entire copies of the Destiny 2 from my console and my husband's consoles. The next
day, I re-installed the game. Waited another day and re-launched the game - same story; can't access the real game. So finally called Microsoft and spent a few hours with them and found out that because my XBoxOne is from this region, digital copies of Destiny
2 is not allowed. She did give me 3 options: (A) Obtain a Middle East Credit Card and switch all my accounts and addresses to the Middle East. (B) Buy US based XBoxOnes and bring them here. (C) Get physical disc copies of Destiny 2, with one caveat - having
the physical disc will still not entitle me to digital copy downloads of any game expansions. I am not willing to take options A & B so I am stuck with C, but the problem is Destiny 2 is not available in this country. So until that happens I am stuck in Destiny
1. So with regards to Destiny 1, you may be wondering how is it that my husband and I were able to enjoy Destiny 1. Well, Destiny 1 physical discs were available in this country and my assumption is that Microsoft had paved the way for all gamers to progress
through the game by making all expansion packs available in the future whether that meant that physical copies are available or digital downloads are allowed. Because we pre-ordered back in May, Microsoft tells us that they cannot process the refund and I'll
have to take it up with my credit card company. So for those of you out there temporarily living outside the US and frustrated over why the version of your game is stuck in the beta mode and all you can see and access is The Farm, please check if you have
regional lock issues. For now, I will keep on playing Destiny 1 but I will be more hesitant in further pre-ordering digital downloads without checking with Microsoft. I could not get any live help from Bungie unfortunately. I am posting this here to provide
others with some answers.

Yes they are region locked

If a BD has no region coding then what is there to prevent it from playing?

Of course the console itself will be locked to Region B for the UK as all UK Blu-ray players are.
