Destiny 2 Newt and Watercress errors

I have watercress for 2 months now destiny 2 is me and my son time fix this now!

Try to clear the cache if it persists try to install the game again, it already happened to me after an update, I had to install the entire game again, good luck!

It's an account specific issue. Not ISP or connectivity problems from the players. Although packet loss could impact your playing experience (lag), this wouldn't generate the Watercress and Newt errors.

Sessions are not clearing for some reason and is preventing us from connecting to the gaming world because when we log on the game is trying to connect you to a previous session. I've managed to get on for short periods after restarting 3 or 4x, but even
that doesn't work all of the time. And even when I have been able to get on, I have to stay in one destination because 98% of the time if I attempt to go to orbit or anywhere else the Newt error kicks me out of the game.

For those that have D1, it works just fine on my account as well. So it's specific to D2 and your account on Xbox. I know a few people that saw on it on PS4 for a short time, but after a hard reset they didn't have any issues. I've logged on with my kids
accounts to D2 on the same Xbox without issue, but mine is definitely bugged. I removed all 3rd party apps (DIM, Ishtar Commander) and nothing changed. So it is clearly an Xbox/Microsoft and Bungie server side issue that doesn't appear to be getting addressed
anytime soon.

Sorry if this doesn't help, but that's all I've managed to troubleshoot on my own along with following up on several forums. Their not getting another dime from me. I've been playing since House of Wolves so I've got some serious time invested in the game
and this is just ridiculous at this point for anyone who has paid for the content, piss poor business and the lack of communication tells me they don't know what the hell is going on. But they can hot fix Aeon swift gauntlets....yeah...we were all worrying
about those breaking the game

Dude, same here, I still have both errors on my Xbox. I've been playing on Stadia. Plus side: load times are insanely fast relative to my D2 load times on Xbox. Down side(s): I still prefer playing the on Xbox, my buds are on Xbox, the competition is way
better on Xbox (I'm a decent pve and garbage pvp player, but on stadia I'm crushing! Haha), and the controls seem crisp or more responsive than Stadia. I check on the bungie forums every day. Yesterday, someone from bungie finally posted a substantive reply:

I'm getting the same error - sign in, select character, and get blank/black screen until the "watercress" error shows up. I'm able to try this out on PS4 (cross save) and the character works fine. I've got another character against a different profile and
its fine. Bungie is now saying its specific to xbox profiles and they now why it happens they just can't find a solution. It's clearly isolated to a specific xbox profile.

Maybe wait and buy a PS5?
