    Destiny 2 is not launching - Error Code: 0x803F8001


    Since Destiny 2 is no longer on GamePass, my account thinks I am unable to play the game. I have bought all the DLCs and the base game is free, so it makes no sense the account is having an issue. I do not want to uninstall and reinstall the game, there has to be a better solution.

    Error Description: Destiny 2 is currently not available in your account. Make sure you are signed in to the Store and try again. Here’s the error code, in case you need it: 0x803F8001

    You’re correct that the base game is free which means that you should be able to play the game without any issues.

    Let’s get the license for the free game. Kindly sign in to this link then click “Get”. Once done, sign out on your account both on Microsoft Store and Xbox App then restart before signing back in.
