    Destiny 2 hard crashes Xbox series X


    I’ve seen posts on games that hard crash the XSX. I’ve experienced crashes on other games as well, such as Tetris effect or borderlands 3. However they are pretty infrequent compared to destiny 2. Since the update, destiny 2 crashes nearly 100% of the time. Some times I can get a solid play session in by disabling hdr and doing a full shutdown but it doesn’t fix the crash every time.

    What will happen is destiny will load up, freeze, either hard crash the Xbox or show some grey 8bit color image and then crash.

    Tv and settings: lg CX. HDR on, 120hz, VRR, Dolby vision etc.

    I reported it to Xbox today but it’s really disheartening how much this new console crashes if you just breath on it.

    Xbox series x keeps crashing during mid-game while playing destiny 2.

    I also experience frequent crashes in destiny 2 since light falls release on my Xbox series x. The only other game that constantly crashes is starfield. No other game crashes, example: dead by daylight, Diablo 4 or cyberpunk. Seems to be a hardware issue that Microsoft refuses to officially acknowledge.

    This is still an issue, I’ve just received a series X for Christmas. Destiny 2 has been the only game I’ve played for the past 5 yrs (which is why I was gifted a seieres X for an easy transfer) if I don’t receive any solutions through this thread or otherwise I will be returning the series X for a full refund and just stick with my Xbox one which seems to have no issues running the game. I’ve tried everything you’ve posted in this thread btw.

    Destiny 2 Crash on Series X

    After the game freezes, the console turns off by itself. Almost everyday since Series X launch day, once or twice a day and has nothing to do with playtime. It happens as soon as I start or everything goes well for 6 hours, this happens, I start it again
    and works OK, until the next time (day)...
