Destiny 2 Forsaken misleading sale of content by Microsoft

Have returned to Destiny2 after a year away to find I require new content in the Forsaken pack. Found (what seemed to be) the appropriate pass on the store, only to install it and find that its missing a component required to update D2 to year two that is
not available separately.

Why is the Forsaken annual pass even being sold if it cannot be used with the game without purchasing Forsaken separately, but Forsaken cannot be purchased separately?

If Bungie have removed one product, Microsoft should not still be selling its counterpart.

I hear your frustration. Bungie has made it as confusing as possible in regards to their DLC. I'm not sure why they have done it, but it seems that is their offering. Try a different browser (MS Edge, etc.) and try the request a refund again. I've
just gone though it and it seems o be working OK.

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums.

In regards to this matter, Microsoft merely provides the platform for developers to distribute their content. The developer themselves, in this instance, were the ones whom chose to have their product portrayed in such a way.

If you feel that this purchase was not what you intended, you can always
request a refund for you to select the product that you had originally intended.

I'm sorry about any confusion or turmoil this might have induced.

Thank you for your assistance, but all the links provided end up in the bugged ‘request a return’ loop. I am unable to request a return, or even contact anyone yo raise the issue with the return procedure.

Is there an email to contact someone directly, to get out if this failed automated loop?
