    Destiny 2 Error Code: (0x8007042b) - Xbox PC (W11)


    Having issues playing Destiny 2, re-installed the game 3 times - fails on the splash screen where it says LAUNCHING GAME with the spinning dots.
    Tried the Repair/Reset through windows.

    Tried Validating through Xbox app.

    Windows 11 is up to date. (I even tried going to the BETA version, still fails)

    Battleye or whatever it is is installed.

    I tried running as admin.

    I tried restarting my computer.

    Made sure Windows Store was open and up to date.

    Tried pretty much everything I read on the forums, SFC etc. etc. (including deleting the store app data)

    Honestly, I am starting to get fed up with the constant issues I am getting with the Xbox app on PC.

    This did not work, I followed your instruction to the T, and still get the same error.

    I would also like to note that Far Cry 5 works perfectly fine.

    Thanks for trying it. Would you please try to run the game with another local account on your computer?

    First, repair then reset the game:

    Start > Settings > Apps > Destiny 2 > Advanced settings > Repair, then Reset.

    After that, please create a local account:

    - Press Win+R Keys.

    - Type netplwiz and press Enter.

    - Click Add button.

    - Click Sign in without a Microsoft Account. If you do not see that option, disconnect from the Internet.

    - Click Local account if prompted.

    - Type the username you want, and the password. You must also specify a hint. Click Next.

    - Click Finish.

    Make the new local account an admin account:

    - Select Start > Settings > Accounts > Family & Other Users > Select the Account Owner Name (you should see "Local account" below the name) > Change Account Type.

    - Select Administrator, and then select OK.

    - Sign in with the new Administrator Account.

    After that:

    - Go to Start > Type Services > Open it.

    - Find all Xbox Services (Xbox Accessory Management Service, Live Auth Manager, Live Game Save, Live Networking Service). Right Click > Properties> Set the startup type to Automatic. Also Start them.

    - Go to Start > Settings > Accounts > Sign-in Options > Privacy > Uncheck "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device and reopen my apps after an update and restart." Restart your PC.

    Please try to reinstall the gaming services:

    - Go to start > Search for PowerShell > Right click > Run as administrator. Type the following command and press enter:

    get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

    - Press Windows + R and type in "regedit". Press enter.

    - Search for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services

    - Delete the folders "GamingServices", "GamingServices.net" (if they're still there).

    - Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Microsoft Store > Advanced Options > Repair, then Reset.

    - Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Xbox App > Advanced Options > Repair, then Reset.

    - Press Windows + R. Type TEMP and press enter. Delete all the files inside this folder. Repeat this step by typing %TEMP% and Prefetch. Delete everything on both folders too.

    - Press Windows + R. Type WSRESET and press enter.

    - Restart your computer. Run Powershell as administrator and run the following command:

    start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

    - Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.

    - Restart your computer one more time. Open the Xbox App and sign in with the same account as the Microsoft store.

    - Make completely sure that your Microsoft account country, your Xbox profile country and your computer time/zone and language/country all matches each other. If everything matches, please start Destiny 2 without your controller connected after the steps above and please let me know how it goes.

    yeah I've done this too - no change. I suspect what is happening is that there's a failure, it's cached somewhere, and when I manage to delete whatever cache that is OR it times out, then it starts working again - This is based on pure observations of the symptoms though, I have nothing concrete to back this up, because there is zero actual information about what's going on.
