Destiny 2 DLC showing as not owned even though it was bought

Clean your console's MAC, then click the menu button on the game icon and go to manage games and add-ons, click on the game icon again and see if the DLC appears to be installed.

To clean the MAC follow this path

Settings>general>network settings>advanced settings>alternative MAC address and click clear and restart the console when prompted.

But I have two separate consoles. I bought a copy of one dlc for destiny 2. I log in on my home Xbox and my wife logs in on our other Xbox and it won’t let her play the dlc for the game because it says she hasn’t bought it, even though my account is on both systems.

are you sure you owned it, as the dlc was in gamepass until the other day when destiny 2 was removed from gamepass on console including the dlc for destiny 2.

Just wanted to follow up on this for anyone else that should search and run into a similar issue.

After a few MS support chats it was discovered that you need to own all the DLC first.

The error in our case was caused by the fact that Destiny 2 and destiny 2 Forsaken are considered different games. If you own Destiny 2 and its DLC you cannot redeem the second season pass if you dont own the game Destiny 2 Forsaken as again its classed
as a different game apparently.

I failed to realise the season pass for Forsaken doesn't include forsaken...

So in short if anyone else has a similar issue check if you can redeem the pass if you dont own the base game, even if the base game is now a piece of DLC.

Its not showing up in my purchase history now even though i know i bought it on my account because i bought the dlc at the same time and the dlc is showing up. Why would i buy a dlc and not the game, thats just dumb. Thank for the help though i appreciate
