Desting

Seems like I've just wasted close to £500 buying Xbox one ,elite controller and gold subscription only to keep getting game freezing or booted back to title screen tried ram flushes turning off reinstalling game may work once every few attempts looks like
being cronus max and going back to Destiny on the ps4 so I can at least use the elite controller,funny every other game works lesson learnt

constant and persistent destiny server drops

Anyone else having problems with the desting servers tonight? every 5 or 10 minutes server drops out and game disconnects me!

Am hard wired to a cable connection and my connection remains stable according to the xbox.

Wishing i never bought the game at the moment. very very unimpressed!

Or maybe disappointed as it does look like an amazing game

Have you tried resetting the Xbox? Failing that if you've only just bought it why cant you return it?

 

OP you can take it back to the shop and get a new one ?

I think if the OP threw in some commas here and there, possibly a full stop, and most importantly some more information we may be able to help them.

 

Yes I struggled and even the heading 'Desting' I was wondering what the hell that was all about !! Finally realised its meant to say Destiny lol

 

Yes I did mean Destiny,I purchased the xbox1 and the elite controller so I could start playing the halo games .

I have destiny on the ps4,and l also purchased it for Xbox 1 as I love the elite controllers ability to customize buttons and paddles. The cronusmax allows cross platform gaming .

I just don't get how other games work fine halo,titan fall,star wars battle front,cod3 it is just Destiny I carnt get to work without issues.

Have you downloaded all of the updates for the game (stupid question but some people don't) as I seem to remember it was a bit of a buggy game at launch (though most games are these days).

 

Yes fully updated I've also reset to factory settings twice and reinstalled twice with the same problem reoccurring,gave support a call today and they have given me a code to return the consul and have it replaced as its only a month old,just carnt see how
that would solve the problem when other games play ok ,but fingers crossed

 

They'll more than likely send you out a new console as soon as they've received your console. Unless they can't find a fault with yours, that is. Same goes for controllers, etc. As long as they're still under warranty, obviously.

 

Just changed the console with the guys at game,the problem mystified them aswell,although they did say Destiny was a bit buggy on the Xbox1. The fact the game was going back to the xbox title screen and not the game menu screen caused them a little concern,fair
play to them they replaced the console and said it could be a hardware problem and if it happens again it may also be a problem with the Destiny disc that may be corrupt in some way .

other people i know have been reporting other game crashes like this, all diferant ones though, for one its rise of tomb raider, another fallout 4 or black ops 3, for me it was battlefront... not so bad. now i dont have to play it now at least

 

Been playing Destiny on the new console,and up to yet the game is playing fine ,I've had no freezing and not kicked back to Xbox menu,although I have not loaded any other games as yet ,so fingers crossed it may have been a fault with the console

 

no its random, my friends tomb raide crashes, other friend its fine, both have identical setup in same house. and vice versa, fallout works 4 one not the othe, baffling. its definatly the new OS the xbox has. it was buggy in preview i heard. was rushed out
too early
