Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We are truly sorry for the issue with the account. The reason support needs these three items is they need to "verify" any account they can look up. This is to prove the account is yours. If none of these are able to
be applied there is nothing support can do.

Lets take the credit card for example: Personally had to find mine with card once. They can look up an account with a card. However, if the card was removed then they cant. If the card has been changed like bank issues you new card every few years it wont
show. So support is limited on looking up accounts. The most important is they need to verify any account before giving out information. Otherwise anyone could call and look up anyone's information if they had one of the three.

In this case I recommend checking all email accounts you have had for emails from Xbox/Microsoft. This may help you in finding the email. As stated without one of the three it is nearly impossible to recover an account.

Yes. That game is backwards compatible. Make sure he has an official MS Xbox hard drive.

Its strange, install the "accesories" app, update the PC with Windows update and try again. Try to use USB cable or controller adapter, also try to use in other PC just to confirm if the error is the PC or the controller.

I have none of the three. But the card information is entirely the same and the account intact. I only cancelled gold and gamepass and restored the xbox. I didn't remove payment from the account.
