The Design your own Controller feature needs more color choices.

I'm sure they will probably add more options for the Xbox Design lab controllers over time including more colours. For better visibility I would suggest you use the
Xbox Uservoice website to vote on an existing idea for this or create a new idea.

I feel the title is self explanatory. However, if I could have it my way I would add more shades of the popular colors like blue and red. I mean you literally have one shade of red, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and say you didnt think that
decision through. It would also be cool if there were more color choices for the X Y A B Start and Select buttons.

Since the design your own controller costs at least $20 more than a regular controller I kind of expected a far better selection of colors. Another thing is by looking at controllers Microsoft has customized it is very clear that
you guys are very capable of providing many more color options.

So I sincerely hope there are more options added to the list of colors, at the least more shades of the colors you have. Thank you for your time.

 

As many threads as I've seen on peoples controllers messing up, I'm not sure I want to throw out $80 for some cool colors. With my luck my thumb sticks would drift. lol

Basically, I don't really spend a lot of time admiring my controller! Just my opinion.

If they ever do this with Elites I imagine they'll get almost $200 for a controller.

Personally i think Its a cash grab and a waste of money ,especially since you can make a it DIY project and only spend under $26 with a controller you already have.

But I could understand it if you are not very talented or have hardly any time due to work.

 

Is this just an American thing at the moment?

 

I mean no offense but what my controller looks like is meaningless to me. How it functions does matter. On the same note I have to laugh at people who dislike the XOne because it 'looks dated or ugly.' It could look like a toaster for all I care, how does
it function?

 

I like some custom controller action, I've had most of what ms has released over the years. I do admittedly get through controllers often though and it's normally due to left stick drift. If this is available in the UK I'll definitely check it out. I should
say these would also go down well as stocking fillers for the kid's at xmas.

 

I'm hoping to see more options and maybe some patterns in the future. People love customization.

It comes to Europe in 2017. No idea when other countries get it.

^ I find it weird it's not available everywhere. I assumed it was until I read your post.

 

I know, bit annoying. Guess they must be just testing the water with the US, and then If it proves popular they'll start moving it to other countries.

 

I like this idea, ya you can DYI but when i go to friends homes to game its nice to bring my own. OR when i go to launch events i use my own controller. When people come over to game it up My elite is mine and the Copper shadow and dusk Shadow are for others
to use. Maybe i just like to collect things LOL or be more personable. Its a nice idea, maybe an Elite design lab?
