Design lab engraving

Thats Design Lab customer support and they would be better equip in helping you with the engraving issue.

i think a custom Controller from the design lab with your partner's favorite colors and a nice engraving would be great.

Thank you for keeping us updated. We recommend attempting to customize your controller with a different device. You can try using a different cell phone, tablet or computer. Also, we suggest making sure that you are signed in to the website with your
Microsoft account before you customize the controller. Does an error code appear with the error message? Be sure to let us know the results!

I get the message unexpected error has happened whenever i enter text

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We can advise with attempting some troubleshooting and see if you can get the engraving to work.

Have you tried logging out and back in from the online Microsoft Store where you create your Design Lab controller?

Have you tried using a different device to create the controller? The online Microsoft Store has been known to have compatibility issues with Apple and iOS devices, specifically using the Safari web browser. If you are using any of these, please try something
else.

Do you get any error codes or messages?

Have you tried clearing the cache and cookies from your browser and have you tried using a different browser, like Microsoft Edge or Chrome?

Have you completely restarted the device that you are using?

Be sure to answer those questions for us so we can lead you in the right direction to getting this resolved.
