Deluxe Microsoft Flight Sim purchased but wont install

Hello,

I have purchased the Premium Delux Flight Sim through Amazon but it won't install on my PC. When in the Microsoft store I click the install button but it won't do anything. I am logged into my PC as the correct user.

It does not show up in downloads or owned in the Microsoft Store app.

It does show up in the programs list what clicking on the start button but it has a long line under the title like it needs to download.

Kindly restart your PC then try to install it again.

I discovered we need the Xbox app installed for the download and install of Microsoft flight simulator. This is a new PC and didn't have anything installed yet.

Thanks for the response, I'm trying to run the significantly older Microsoft flight sim X deluxe on my new computer, but wondering if it's to old of a version to do so.

I think it's worth adding here the fact that flight simulator is showing in the Xbox app as trying to be installed - 123Gb worth. In fact there are 2 flight sims showing - 1 for the basic edition and the other for the premium deluxe which I bought. There are download progress bars that don't move and there's a remark "something went wrong" on both. They're both 123Gb.

Funny enough, The same app shows where the sim is installed.

I'm not a programmer but I think somebody made a mistake.

With a custom install would I have to reinstall my programs? Microsoft Flight sim etc?
