Why can't I use my DFS anymore for Xbox subscriptions, games, etc.?

I have been using my dell preferred account to pay for my ultimate game pass subscription since December 2020 and for the month of March 2021, it stopped accepting my DFS and when I try to change my payment method, it won't give me the option to add my DFS (I deleted it off my account and tried to see if I could add it back).

I did some online searching and I've seen posts that DFS (posts from other customers, not Microsoft) has stopped online services back in March 2020 which doesn't make sense as I've been using my DFS all year of 2020 and the first 2 months of 2021 for my subscription, game purchases, etc., nor was I notified about this service change; not sure if this is true or false information.

Microsoft contact support have not been accessible and I have been unable to speak with someone about this situation so I hope someone can help me find the answer to this.

I've been depending on my DFS to pay for Microsoft products and now it seems like there's no reason why I should have my name under credit if I'm not allowed to use it. (I mainly use it for Xbox purchases)
