Delivery Address Issue with XBOX Order from Microsoft Website

I wanted to share my recent experience ordering an XBOX directly from the Microsoft Xbox official website. I provided the correct shipping address, which was also confirmed by Microsoft during multiple verification calls. However, when the package was handed over to FEDEX, they claimed the delivery couldn't proceed due to an incomplete shipping address (specifically, a missing apartment number).

Despite my attempts to rectify the issue by contacting FEDEX and providing the missing details, they expressed their inability to update the address, citing restrictions imposed by the sender, Microsoft. Even though I offered my ID for verification, FEDEX maintained their stance, not allowing me to modify the address or opt for store pickup. Frustratingly, the package is a mere 5-minute drive away, yet I'm unable to access it.

My interaction with Microsoft support didn't yield an immediate solution either. They forwarded the case to the "escalation team", but it seems like this could potentially take a considerable amount of time to resolve.

I canceled the order. Reflecting on this experience, I regret opting to purchase directly from Microsoft's official website. I realize now that buying from a physical store or through a platform like Amazon might have ensured a more timely delivery—I could have had the product in my hands a week ago.

It appears there might be a technical glitch in the address transfer process between Microsoft and FEDEX. It's frustrating that resolving this issue seems to necessitate a significant investment of my time in contacting various parties.

I understand how frustrating it can be to do this, something to keep in mind is taking into account the dates we are in and there are probably few staff working at both FEDEX and Microsoft and they may not be well. coordinated, and in fact I agree with you, Microsoft verified your information and Fedex simply did not want to deliver the package to you even though you were providing all the information that you were the owner, maybe if it would have been better to buy Order it from an authorized physical store and you wouldn't have gone through so much friend.

I really hope that if you manage to get your Xbox and never go through something like this again, Merry Christmas.

I ordered mine from Amazon back in August. I have very recently changed the delivery address of my order and now I have no estimated delivery date.

Do you think this will affect when I receive my console?

If you have an Xbox under warranty and send it to claim, you pay nothing. Nor do you pay for the delivery of the package. You only have to request a claim on the MS website. And then order a delivery service.

I see, I guess where my confusion came from was the fact that i preordered DR3 from Amazon,

and I used UPS 2nd Day so that my pre order would say "Delivery Estimate: Friday November, 22 2013"

I didn't know if I had to do the same for my Xbox One on the Microsoft Store website.

Then, i saw this on xbox support website

"For most major markets your Xbox One will arrive on the day it is released. Delivery to remote delivery locations will experience extended transit time. Please check the Microsoft Store for release dates for your product. Items will be shipped Monday
through Friday during business hours and timing is based on the shipping method that you selected for your purchase."

So I got even more confused.

My xbox one order says "backordered" anyways. So i guess I will get it when i get it......i'll have DR3, but no console. hehe
