i have gotten mails that i need to pay for xbox live membership, i dont want a new membership. i want to delete my acc and make sure that it is gone. can someone help me fix this?

You would need to call support against about cancelling your subscription. Phone support are the only ones who can handle billing issues.

Even if they remove the membership and payment option though, the account won't completely be deleted off the servers.

1st asuming you dont have a currency balance

You can call support and tell them to turn off autorenewal ten wait 1-2months for you to forefeit

Hello,

Firstly you have to ensure your auto-renew is off if it is on.

1. In a browser, go to My Account.

2. If needed, sign in to the Microsoft account that's associated with the Xbox Live Gold subscription you want to cancel.

3. Select Services & subscriptions.

4. In the Xbox Live section, under Renews on, select Cancel.

5. When you receive the "Are you sure? You'll lose access to your Xbox Live subscription on subscription termination date, when we don't automatically renew it" message, select Confirm cancellation.

Once done you can hold on to your account if you ever need it otherwise it is possible to close the account.

You can close your account via the following link. You will have to sign in and it will guide you through the steps. Plus you have 60 days to change your mind once it is complete.

in the age of cloud computing you cannot delete accounts as they are stored on the xbox live servers

you can however rename your gamertag then relink the gamertag

if you read the bungie.net faq on relinking changed gamertags

You can also pay the 800 Points charge to change your gamertag on this profile, freeing up the name to be used on another profile. (So no, you can't delete your current profile, but you can change both the Live ID and the gamertag and re-use those
on another profile.)

Banning accounts and deleting accounts are different things. Even banned accounts aren't deleted from the servers.
