    Ok have had new dashboard update for about a week, issues so far have been a few not starting games on both digital and download nothing major until yesterday.

    Some games have appeared to be deleted spent some time doing reset etc still unable to find game without been asked to re-install from disk Destiny 1 for example but when waiting for re-install thought I would check manage on game to find out it was in fact
    re-installing game twice. There was another copy there it just was not showing up and would not start until other re-install was done.

    File not corrupted or any other obvious issue and not the only game with this issue about 20% of my games have done this, now thinking about leaving the preview program, what happens when eventually new update kills my xbox which is out of date for warranty
    some of the more recent updates have been very unstable compared to previous ones.

    Hey RemoteCircle! Sorry to hear about the issue, as Acalyte has suggested, you may want to try deleting the downloaded content from Gears of War 3 and re-downloading it. Note, there may be multiple copies of the downloaded content and you'll want to delete
    all copies for this to work. Let us know! deleting games multiple copies :)

    updating issues

    I've seen a solution that has worked for multiple people, if you have an external drive, copy the game to a different drive and then delete it from the drive it existed on. Then check if there are any updates listed for the game. You can leave it on
    the other drive or copy it back after that, but that has resolved the issue for a number of people I've seen have this.

    I'm concerned with the multiple copies of every game I'll have to buy to use in conjunction with my Gold Family package and multiple consoles, even when only 1 copy of the game is being played.

    locked to the specific console, etc. You'll get most of your saves, but any PS2/PSX Memory Units, videos, and any console-locked saves will be gone.
    Why can't Xbox have this feature and automatically remove any items that can't be copied?
    Have
    you tried highlighting a folder under Games, hitting Y, then Copying it? That may work as it will copy the whole folder. I'm not positive what happens to an installed game file in the folder. It may stop the Copy when it hits that file, or it may copy everything
    else and ignore the installed game.



    I've backed up my 60+ game folders worth of saves. It took about 15 minutes to manually Copy. On a PS3, I cannot backup whole MUs or "folders", I have to manually copy every single individual file. When one has 100+ PS2 Virtual Memory Units, that's an untenable
    option.
