Deleting Gamertag from existence

I have two gamertags, but the one I use on my xbox is not linked to the Microsoft account I use on my computer with Windows 8. I wanted to delete my old gamertag from my Microsoft account so I can move my current gamertag to it and play games on the computer
and xbox under the same gamertag. How do I do this? I can only find instructions on how to delete the gamertag from my xbox, and not actually delete the gamertag completely.

I bought the xbox one madden bundle and downloaded madden but the xbox started making a lot of noise so I had to take it back and get a new one. I want to download the digital code for madden from my new xbox but the madden from the xbox i took back is still
attatched to my gamertag. How to I completely delete the game (not uninstall) so I can download my new digital code? thank you.

If you use the same gamertag on the replacement console you can find "madden" as "ready to install" in the games and apps section on the very far right. You do not need to redeem the code again. Just click on the entry and install it again. If it's not listed
there you may go to the store and search for it there. If using the gamertag you used to redeem the code it should be marked "install" instead of "buy" there, too.

If you started using a new gamertag then you are out of luck as games can not be transferred between accounts.

 

im sorry but as far as i know there are no ways to delete it from existence but you can cancel your payment for your account and you can get your time left on that account onto another one

like mentioned it is not possible to delete a xbox live account, but there is a way for you to achieve the goal you want.

You can move xbox live accounts to another Microsoft Account, which will free up the email address and to be used to move another xbox live account to it.

Be aware that you can only move an xbox live account to another Microsoft Account when the account has been on a xbox 360 console for at least 30 days without it being downloaded and be sure not to use any devices with the Microsoft account while doing the switch

So you will basically want to do the following.

-Download the profiles to the xbox 360 console if they are not present on the console yet and wait 30 days if one of them was downloaded

-Move the unwanted xbox live account you want to remove to a (new) different Microsoft Account, to free up the email address

-Move the wanted xbox live account to the just freed up Microsoft Account

To close out the account you go to account.live.com (make sure you have no subscriptions/currency on your account) and there is an option on the left hand side to close the account.
