    Deleting digital game from gamertag?


    I bought the xbox one madden bundle and downloaded madden but the xbox started making a lot of noise so I had to take it back and get a new one. I want to download the digital code for madden from my new xbox but the madden from the xbox i took back is still
    attatched to my gamertag. How to I completely delete the game (not uninstall) so I can download my new digital code? thank you.

    Cancelled digital pre order is still playable on release day...

    Try deleting the digital version from your console.

    If you use the same gamertag on the replacement console you can find "madden" as "ready to install" in the games and apps section on the very far right. You do not need to redeem the code again. Just click on the entry and install it again. If it's not listed
    there you may go to the store and search for it there. If using the gamertag you used to redeem the code it should be marked "install" instead of "buy" there, too.

    If you started using a new gamertag then you are out of luck as games can not be transferred between accounts.

    What if I delete my account/ gamertag (I ve only this one digital game so it doesn't really matter)?

    I understand once the account/gamertag is deleted the content is not linked to the console so i'll be able to play it from the cd

    Forgot my 4 digit sign in pass code

    Delete your gamertag and redownload it!

    This removes the 4 digit passcode from your profile for the xbox.

    As x iVox x said, delete the gamertag, then redownload the gamertag using it's email and password.

    One important thing to note is that you need to delete the "Profile Only". DO NOT delete "Profile and Games", that will remove all of your saved games from your hard drive.

    Also, if this is a 4 digit passcode for a parental account, removing the gamertag will not work. You need to contact Xbox support directly. http://support.xbox.com/contact-us

    Remember that if you delete your gamertag from your console, you get the option to delete your gamertag or delete the gamertag AND data. Only choose the gamertag option, otherwise you lose every piece of data that is associated with your profile. This includes
    game saves etc.
