Deleting Achievement from your profile (closed games first)

i'm afraid there's not a magic wand.

No one at Support can delete achievements, no one ever has deleted achievements.

You're thinking about hiding them by pressing X on a game with zero points, who are the fact that your gamer score can be zeroed out for cheating and you can no longer re-earn those achievements. even that doesn't delete them from your profile, merely changes your gamer score to zero for the same reason

Trust me when I say this I know what you're talking about, it just simply can't safely be done, and no magical new technology will change that. If you corrupt the database, you have to restore from back up which will take days or weeks

No they can't just pop the achievements by pushing a button.

i'm sorry deleting achievements is not in likely will never be possible. You do not want to delete things from databases which is why you can only hide things that you have zero points in

in a nutshell, this can literally cause catastrophic errors that can corrupt everything, this is one of the reasons why changing your gamer tag cost money, and why it can take up to a week to propagate because it is a low priority task that is done very carefully. you make the fewest changes possible as carefully as possible

this is the reason why game developers don't remove things from games, they wall them off. You never know when pulling a pin out on one side of the building can cause the other side to collapse

I can understand, but not completely. With current technology I think there is a way to make this practice safe. Maybe by limiting the use of the function to a number of uses for each profile or even better by making the option paid to be controlled like the name change, so that it is used only by those who really care. Also I read in some forums that the XBOX staff can delete achievements in some rare cases if I'm not mistaken. Let's say it's sad that it's something that doesn't seem to be able to be done even in the future, I will always hope.

you need to delete your profile and re-download it. got my score back! Make sure you only delete your profile (first option). The second option will delete achievements and game saves

You can delete profiles that you no longer use from your console. Here’s how:

Go to Settings, and then select System.

Select Storage.

Select All Devices.

Select Gamer Profiles.

Select the gamertag that you want to delete.

Select Delete.

Select one of the following:

Select Delete Profile Only. This deletes the profile but leaves saved games and achievements.

Select Delete Profile and Items to delete the profile and the associated saved games and achievements.
