    Hi.I last connected pendrive(4gb) to xbox 360.I not format this pendrive in xbox.When I plug this pendrive to pc I saw that all files are deleted.In pendrive is only one file(30mb) with description "system file" created by xbox.Free space on pendrive is
    only 1gb.How to recover these files?Sorry for my english.

    Hello

    Firstly i want to apologise for my bad English. That's not my first language and I'm trying my best.

    So let me get to the problem.I've propably done a really stupid thing. I had to use a usb memory to transfer some data from PC to PC but only available one was the one i used as a storage of my game files in my console. I pluged usb memory to PC, copied
    all data from USB to my PC's HDD and deleted data from USB. When my USB memory was ready to be storage of my Xbox data again I found out that files I copied as backup wasn't working on my console. After I put files back on the pendrive Xbox doesn't recognize
    my profile and save data. It sees Pendrive as a unrecognized storage device and asks me if I want it to be formated.I figured that what I first thought as a well made backup was in fact a terrible mistake.

    Is there a way to make my profile and save data useful again from files I copied to my HDD? Please help.

    If you had pc files on the drive and then configured it for the console then the files would have been deleted. I'm sorry but there is no way to recover them.

    You could try a file recovery program, I don't believe Xbox Zeros the disk, but Flash memory is a lot harder to recover than something like a hard drive.

    Try something from here:

    www.bing.com/search

    There are no guarantees though.

    If your drive is showing up as needing a format, it's gone. There's no recovery to be done. Whatever recovery that may be possible via software, won't recover all of your files, which you need for your 360 to read them. Thumb drives fail quickly, I'd recommend
    an external HDD next time.
