Deleted everything Storage still at 6.8% and 339.9gb, no idea where the missing 20gb are...

I have deleted everything on my console, apps, profiles, games, checked lost add ons etc.. Still my screen shows internal storage at 6.8%. And 339.9gb free space. There seems to be something eating up 20gb and I am not able to find out what it is even
less delete it. Any ideas on how to clear the internal hard drive would be appreciated. Pd Format does not work on the internal hard drive.

just bought a second hand 120gb hard and wanted to transfer everything from the 20gbb onto it but think i put the hard drives wrong way round and now deleted every thing on the 20gb and also and now console says NO STORAGE DEVICES FOUND when connect the
20gb and 120gb but they show up when pluged in with the transfer cable also the 120gb only shows as 16gb any help would be great

The first thing to try is to remove the hard drive and add it again like mentioned here:

support.xbox.com/.../add-remove-hard-drive to see if that helps. That does fix the problem sometimes.

If that still fails then you might have a hardware failure and it would be best to try the harddrive on a different console to determine if it is the harddrive or the console that is having the failure.

If the failure is identified (console or harddrive) then you will be able to request a repair or replacement via

Hey there it is most likely the OS the console will need to use storage to run the software as is

 

Please try going into Settings/All Settings/System/Storage then select the option to manage left over add-ons and clear anything stored here.

 

Squid CA is correct the storage is being used by the OS and other things required to operate the console. Even with nothing on the console you would not show a full 500GB simply because of the way the storage amount is calculated. Here is a link that explains

Firstly, I hv already managed left over add ons, there is no more leftovers.

Secondly, I got access to several Xbox One, I can confirm that a new Xbox One has a 0% storage and says it got available around 360gb, therefore I am sure it is not the OS space, as the OS does not make available its space for normal use.

So I already had into account the missing 140gb from the OS and how space is calculated in hard drives. With all that there is still these 20gb missing and the screen shows 6.8% of use.

I am sure there is something in the hard drive taking up the space. I have deleted profiles, apps, saved games.

 

Well with those 8192389183 Updates they make everyday it doesn't surprise me. Got the same problem.
