Deleted child account from Family in error

    Here goes!!!

I accidently deleted my daughters account from Family settings. DOH. Now the problem starts, she now cannot connect to Live and therefore play online. I get a message stating that "the Parent account is not valid". So next I try to change/revalidate my account,
which by the way signs in to both Hotmail & Xbox accounts. After entering all required info I then get told that "Subscribing to Xbox live is not available at the moment" (or words to that effect).

My daughter cannot now even sign into her xbox account but can sign into her Microsoft account.

After 2 hours this morning on Microsoft chat I got absolutely NOWHERE.

I believe I may have to wait 5 days & then see what happens.

Any help, advice from anywhere would make my daughter happy again!!!!

    :)

How do I re add the child account to the family?

I've deleted the child acount from the family on Xbox 360 stupidly by accident. I've gone back to family settings on both the adult and child account and can't seem to find anything to help. I need to add the account again because whenever my kid logs
in it says something about having a parent account not connected but that's because I removed the child account. Help. Me. I'm. Dying. How do I re add the child account to the family?

Can't access Xbox Live Profile neither on XBox360 nor on Web

Oh, since you mentioned that the adult has deleted your child account from your family then there's a possibility that this is the case. Basically, when you deleted a child account from a family setting or parent account link, it gets orphaned. Therefore,
you will need to contact the Xbox Accounts & Billings Department for more assistance. Here's their contact details:
support.xbox.com/.../contact-us, just change the region based upon your physical location.

Parental consent removal from Microsoft family account

This page here should have details on how to remove a child from your Microsoft Account family. That covers doing
it via the browser or on an Xbox One console. With that, once the child is removed from a family, they should be able to be added to another family account.

Let us know if you're getting any errors or problems during that process.

    Child account

There is two ways that MS determines if an account is a child account.

    1. DOB on the account when the account is originally setup.

    2. If it is in a family as a child account.

Until an account reaches its 18th birthday from the DOB when it was originally setup it is REQUIRED to be in a family as a child account.

It will NOT always graduate to an adult account once it hits 18 sometimes you have to sign into any adult account at account.microsoft.com/family and remove the child account from the family at which point
it will be put into its own family as an adult

Keep in mind that it will allow you to remove the child account from the family even if the DOB is under 18 but the child account will NOT be able to do anything until its added back to a family as a child
    account.

So in your situation the first thing I would try and do is sign into the adult account at account.microsoft.com/family and remove the child account from the family and see if that fixes your situation.

    Xbox live Parents email Help

You won't "delete" anything. What you would do is log in to the Parent Account, go in to the Family options, select the child's avatar, and there should be an option to "remove from family". Does that make sense?

    Child account

    Hi Matias,

If you remove a child account from the family it won't delete the progress made.

It may cause for it prompt a parent to sign in often for certain content.

Check this link out for more information:
Remove a family member from your family.

    Hope this helps.
