    Delete save data from Cloud?


    I recently had a USB hard drive go corrupt and it lost my saved data for a game. Unfortunately when I loaded that game, it decided to also replace my saved data in the cloud with a blank, initial save.

    Thankfully I still have the old data on my old Xbox which isn't online, but I'm worried that if I sign in, the cloud data will overwrite the local data again.

    Any idea what I can do to stop this happening?

    When you deleted the save data did you also delete it from the cloud save storage?

    If the save data is corrupt, it will need to be deleted from the cloud as well or else the corrupted data will be uploaded back.

    For the game progress problem you might try these guides:

    the progress should be saved when you are connected to Xbox live.

    You can also try and delete your save data on the drive and then synch your data from the cloud. If you want to delete all data select delete everywhere and it will delete the save data from the hard drive and the cloud.

    You CAN actually delete your save game data locally on your xbox and leave it in the cloud. Go to your games/apps section in dashboard and go to the game in question. There are options to delete the local save game data and save game data in the cloud. You
    can delete local data or delete local and cloud data.
