Delete Gamertag from New Microsoft Account

Hi,

I was trying to bring my old gamertag from a long-forgotten email account onto my new Microsoft Account; in the process, the new account automatically generated its own gamertag. I really don't want to lose the achievements/friends/etc built into my old
gamertag from the 360 days, so how do I delete the new one with nothing in it to then transfer my gamertag?

I tried to associate my new Outlook email with the old Microsoft Account containing the gamertag, and it said that wouldn't fly since it's already linked to my new account.

Since it is an outlook account which is already a MS account you will not be able to use that email for your old account.

You would either need to use another Non MS server email like gmail, yahoo, or something like that or sign into your old account at account.live.com/addassocid and create a new outlook account to add to that old account.

then the new email would have all the data of your old account / email, what you could do but it is an expensive option is to change is to combine the gt of your old account, if you still do not spend your free change there will be no problem and you win
quickly your gamertag in your main account

Hi there,

a xbox live account can not be deleted from your Microsoft Account, you can only move it to another Microsoft Account (and if needed Close that Microsoft Account).

If your Microsoft account was permanently suspended, you won't be able to access the account or use the associated gamertag. Unfortunately, there is no way to transfer or delete the gamertag from the suspended account. In situations like this, it's best to create a new Microsoft account and choose a new gamertag.

There's no way to "delete" a gamertag from a Microsoft Account, unfortunately. If you wish to change the e-mail associated with the LIVE account or move a gamertag off of an e-mail you would need to make a new Microsoft Account e-mail from
account.live.com doing so on Xbox.com automatically creates a new gamertag for you.

There wouldn't be any way of not waiting the 30 days or not creating another Microsoft Account, unfortunately.

It's a pretty backwards process, but that is how it works.
