Delete gamertag from account?

I don't think this is possible but I'll give it a go,

I want to move gamertag A from account A to account B. I just have account B integrated better. But account B has a dummy account, gamertag B, I once made because, *gamer giggle* I wanted the pleasure of a second dragonache on viva pinata ^.^. Now, instead
of creating a third dummy account and shuffling all my accounts across, can I just delete gamertag B so I can shunt across gamertag A?

Is it impossible to delete a gamertag without closing an account (which I probably don't want to do? I use account B everyday).

How do you remove all information from your Xbox One console?

i'd like to know how to remove a gamertag as well. i have a friend who downloaded his account onto my system. now i cant figure out to to delete from the fuckin console.

Delete the Gamertag from the Xbox 360 Console. Only delete the Gamertag. Recover the Gamertag. You will need the Windows Live ID and Password to Recover that account.

You're going to need to create a new dummy email address and move gamertag B to it so that the email is freed up to move gamertag A to it.

We are on topic. The OP wanted to know if the original gamertag would be deleted and it won't. That link will switch the Microsoft account, but even switching accounts it doesn't delete a gamertag from the servers.

There's no way for you to completely remove a gamertag from the system yourself. Removing it from a Microsoft account or deleting the Microsoft account, does not delete the Xbox account. If the gamertag was freed up in one of the previous mass gamertag releases
or the person who owns the account doesn't sign in for 5 years (starting 2016) the tag will be freed up for use.

You can delete accounts from your console, but you can't completely delete it from the servers. If you want to use the gamertag, you would have to pay to change the gamertag on that account in order to free it up to use on the account you want to use it
for.
