Delete digital game to play with CD

I've downloaded Saint 4. The game is fine but I don't want my 15 year old son to access it.

So I bought a CD to be able to lock the CD somewhere.

I've deleted the digital game and tried to install from CD. The issue is that it keeps trying to install from online.

How do I permanently delete the online purchase ?

To re download fable I have to pay again?

I've bought the cd. It got scratched. I bought digital copy. I play it then need space. Meh delete it for now ill download it again when I want to play it. Now I have to pay again for the game? How come I can re download for free other games I've bought
digital copy's of...

Because you can burn your downloaded tracks to CD, either as a data disc or an actual music CD. You can burn that music
CD and play it in any CD player, or even a games console.

Good luck burning those Xbox One games to blu-ray and then being able to play from that disc.

That's why people don't mind the music industry going digital. It's because they can still make their own physical copies.

 

Sorry but once a game has been purchased digitally that game is linked to your gamertag on the console. Even if you installed it from the disc your son would still be able to access the game without the disc in the console.

You could try setting someone else's gamertag as the HOME console's tag but then no one would be able to access your purchases without your tag being first logged in.

What if I delete my account/ gamertag (I ve only this one digital game so it doesn't really matter)?

I understand once the account/gamertag is deleted the content is not linked to the console so i'll be able to play it from the cd

 

Even if you delete your gamertag, if you had the console set as your Home console, your son will still be able to access the game.

 

we've only one console.

- is it possible to remove this "home console" tag?

- can I create another avatar and assigned the home console to it?

- If I do so, will my son be able to continue using our Gold plan for online games such as his Titanfall?

- Worst case scenario can I "delete/ remove " my purchase ?

You should be able to remove the Home setting -
support.xbox.com/.../my-home-xbox

Yes, you can create another tag and set the console to Home on it.

In order to share the gold, you have to have the console set as your Home console. So if you were to create a new account and set it as the Home, you would need to add gold to that account.

1/ Delete my old tag

2/ Remove the Home setting

3/ Create a new tag, with a new email

4/ Add the home setting

Remove the Home setting before you delete the gamertag. And really, you don't even have to delete the gamertag.

 

So I removed the Home Setting from our 3 profiles and re start the Xbox.

It didn't work, the game was still here .

Even worst I was able to access it using my 7 years old daughter profile altough she has a - 10 years old profile configuration.

So I deleted my gamertag and re-start, log from my daugter profile.

Still the same issue.

The game is still there ready to install.

It's really annoying. Is there any option? Can I have any kind of support from MS ?

 

Even if the game shows as ready to install, they shouldn't be able to actually play it without the disc or without purchasing it from their console.
