    Hello,

    I will tell you briefly my case:

    On December 28, 2013, because I had $ 20 (USD) in my Xbox account, I bought "Dance Central 2". When I made the transaction, they have been taking money from my Paypal account. And ironically, instead of paying $ 20, they take me 20 pounds (GBP), which means
    33 dollars.

    I noticed immediately the support team, they asked hundreds of details - which I have sent, and they sent the case to the Advocacy Team.

    I have NOT downloaded the game and asked them to resolve this situation, because from my point of view the situation is very simple: return 20 pounds, they get $ 20, and I download the game. Simple situation, money collected, happy customer.

    A few days later I received the first email from this team, with specific flatteries and their pathetic excuses, in which they told me that my case is under investigation and that they can`t estimated timeframe for the resolution.

    I waited two weeks, after which I contacted again the support team. Very arrogant, tagalog with English name, he say "Better you contact the Advocacy Team - respond them to the email". I think this is the procedure and I follow this advice. I respond to
    email, and tell them that two weeks have passed without receiving any response. Obviously, after a few days I get no responseand, I contacted again the support team - Much more helpful, they take my case, and after 40 minutes, the conclusions
    are: we can do nothing, Advocacy Team is handling the case, will send them a notification.

    Since then twice a week, I send email to Advocacy Team and I contact the support team, the dialogue is the same. I received 10 or more
    identical emails with the same nonsense and no resolution.


    Some support lie to me, as the case it is nearly completed and that until "Wednesday" it will be solve.



    What should I do now?

    What is your advice?

    I think Microsoft procrastinate me until the expiry of 60 days in which money can be refunded through Paypal. After these 60 days, they will tell me that they are sorry, but they can not do anything.

    To All those who have been hacked,

    Mine was hacked and migrated to Russia on October 25th. Filed a BBB complaint end of December, but haven't heard anything still. Have got two e-mails (one around the 1 month mark, another around the 2 month mark) apologizing for delays and including a
    free 1 month code to set up a new account. But I have no interest earning achievements or buying XBLA games on a temp account.

    Not much you can do you made the purchase willingly

    Question let me guess you migrated your account recently?

    If so that's why it charged your PayPal rather then your ms account

    FYI currency is region locked

    Meaning the us balance on your account is only good for us transactions and in migrating your currency doesn't transfer over

    If you made the purchase via the website that's your issue

    You must make the purchase via the console

    Also any us price listing would not be the same as uk pricing

    You have to actually look at the uk website not the us website for correct pricing

    Tech support cannot tell if you downloaded it or not

    All sales are final

    They gave me $ 20 for the game, because I bought a valid code from an affiliate site and could not be registered. They gave me $ 20 to buy myself this game.

    I bought the game from the console, and I did not exchange any region!

    If "All sales are final" why they do not tell me that, and I procrastinate unmotivated?

    All sales are final did you not read the purchase screen

    Currency is region locked Meaning if you get us currency it does not matter where you get the code

    It has to match your actual regional account

    Us codes cannot be used on uk account nor does it carry over in migration

    Gorgeous!

    Now I feel cheated twice!

    Knowing that I'm in the UK, they gave me the dollars that are useless.

    The second time they collected me 20 pounds, the equivalent of 33 dollars.

    I must be a lawyer in international law, to buy a poop game from xbox?

    So, to use the $ 20, I need to move to USA? Nothing easier! But wait! I must make another account ... and I bet I can not transfer money! So fooled again! I was wondering how some people get so rich!

    No you must buy cards from your actual region

    The only affiliated sites are US only

    If you are going by xbox.com

    So if you are getting an not valid error it is because you aren't purchasing the right code

    All codes are region specific

    Us prepaid codes are only for us accounts

    Anything you buy from a uk website will be pounds not translated dollars

    if you purchased a us code which it sounds like it you can only be issued another us code

    Not a uk one

    That would be your mistake

    All currency cards are locked to their regions because consoles are not in the business of currency exchange and since currency fluctuate so much it is easier to region specific them

    FYI dance central is region locked

    You have to buy a uk copy if you are in uk

    There is no way to redeem a us code on a uk account

    FYI my mistake they do link to uk sites

    But only if you are on the uk website

    A uk affiliate won't give you a us code

    Di you have a us or uk account ?

    If us then you are going to face a two fold problem

    Since people use PayPal to get a us billing option which is never recommended

    First dance central and most kinect games are legally region locked

    FYI you are better off to wait for the advocacy team in handling your case as we don't see your case notes as normal users

    UK currency nor us currency are interchangeable

    Although I appreciate your help and advices, I can not help noticing that you submit obedience to all the rules. Since this is a global company, it seems very normal pricing policy to be the same everywhere. Just as it happens with steam and origin. As there
    is that system of buying point. To me this is nothing more than another convoluted strategy to take more money unmotivated.

    The game I bought "Dance Central 2" was the Regional Limitation: wordwide.

    Next time (if) you respond, try to concentrate everything in one post - it is easy to follow for everyone.

    You don't seem to know much about digital services or steam apparently

    Instead of being condensing why not try reading the rules

    Every service has their own systems

    Usually you buy from your actual region along with the fact most credit cards don't allow regular international charges unless you tell them ahead of time for travel

    Unless your credit card doesn't protect you so well

    When we talk about region lock it means if you do not live in the us and try and buy us content you will be blocked from purchase

    Dance central is available in all xbox live supported regions however it still is region specific

    Meaning US copy of it can't be downloaded in uk or France

    The ip must match the region of the account

    Do not get me wrong, but I feel like I`m talking to a priest from Middle Ages.

    Let me show you one example that highlights that everything you say is an attempt to clowning around.

    I'm in UK and currency is pound, I did pay to "Microsoft Luxembourg". If you do not know, Luxembourg is in Europe, and guess what? In Europe the currency used is the euro.

    Therefore, conversion to another currency than that found on the card is made automatically at a international exchange rate.

    Stop trying to misinform people by your comments poorly informed.
