  1. Delayed Audio on my Series S (TV-Sound) since yesterday. Any advice?

    Greetings,

    little desperate right now. Own the console since launch, worked excellent since yesterday. Before you ask: I haven't changed the slightest neither on my TV nor my console.

    First noticed it during River City Girls yesterday. During punches, the sound came slightly after the action. After a few minutes I thought something is fishy here. Suspected the game and went back to the Dashboard. But there it was, an audio delay while
    using the Dashboard. I push the directional buttons to the left and right to click the different icons, the sound is coming a little hinch later. It's making me nuts. I still haven't suspected anything permanent here. After a restart of the console, the problem
    was gone.

    Later that day, I played through the campaign of River City Girls and it happened again. This time I've noticed it. The sound turned into a little crackle and after that sound problem, the problem with the delayed audio occured. It's like someone pushed
    a button. Maybe it is a bug within River City Girls affecting the system. Played Haven after River City Girls. Worked for 20 minutes, than the crackling noise happened and, you guessed right, audio delayed.

    This time, I cut the power of my TV instead of restarting the console (I tried restarting the console, a full shut down and pulling it from the power after the problem happaned the second time within River City Girls). And it worked. I thought it was the
    fault of my TV. But still, it also works again when restarting the console and that's the biggest problem here while finding the troublemaker.

    Started Yooka Laylee and the Impossible lair a few hours ago, it worked for about 40 minutes until that weird crackle happened again. I've feared the worse and wasn't disappointed, the audio was delayed. This time I haven't pulled the plug from my TV but
    simply turned it off and on after waiting a little moment. It worked. Audio isn't delayed anymore.

    But I know it will happen again when I start the next game. From what I've done it's impossible to see for me if this is caused by the console or the TV. Of course if any of this is the culprit it sucks but I would prefer it to be the TV as the culprit here
    because I know the firmware on this TV sucks and it causes every now and then problems.

    There is so little I can do. Like I mentioned, I use the TV-Audio, no receiver or whatsoever. There is little I can do to change something on the TV or the console. The thing I disabled on the TV now is the "Incredible Surround" Audio option. It never caused
    any problem but made the audio more clear. On the console, I've disabled Auto-HDR because I'm despaired here. Changing resolutions or other stuff while this problems with the delayed audio occurs hasn't solved the problem. The problem only get solved when
    I either restart the console or the TV.

    Really killed my mood here because next to the problem itself you always think it won't come back and then, boom, it's back and it's annoying. Even a very slightly delayed audio is annoying.

    I own a Philips 4K TV. What's especially fishy here, a few days ago they released a new firmware. This version is called TPM177E_012.004.070.051

    Really hope someone has another clue for me here. I've read there are people with a similar issue, but all of these people are using an external audio system.

    Edit: What I haven't done so far is soft resetting the console and resetting my TV. This is something I only do when this is my last solution. So many people adviced me in the past to make a factory reset only to see the same problem occur again. What I
    have done was clearing the Internet cache of my TV yesterday which hasn't brought anything good.

    :)

    Live TV delayed audio

    I'm having the same issue. My Directv box is plugged into hdmi on the xbox one and then into Input 1 on my vizio tv. Then optical audio out my tv to a vizio sound bar. It is really annoying. I don't seem to notice it when I'm playing games or watching
    streaming movies. Only on the live tv function.

    If there was a way to delay the video signal slightly it could match up. The adjustments on my TV are always delaying the audio which is already delayed.

    Video and Audio Delay HELP!

    Sky HD box to Xbox One input, xbox output to tv. no splitters. I have no external sound system so delay is on hdmi audio. Sky HD direct to TV has no audio/video sync issues, audio delay is only present with Xbox one in the circuit.

    Xbox Series X Dolby Atmos sound delay

    You’re looking at processing delay, you need to adjust the audio delay on either your TV or the sound bar consult your manual

    Dolby Atmos delay on Xbox Series X

    Updated:

    I found that my soundbar SONY HT Z9F soundbar use HDMI 2.0 of which bandwidth is 18gbs connect to my TV using eARC port, so I changes my HDMI to

    8K HDMI of which soundbar is 48gbs, and the delay improve a lot that it is hard to notice now.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    I have tested. My set is

    TV has enable eARC and set sound passthrough, HDMI BITSTREAM. XBOX SERIES allows PASSTHROUGH.

    XBOX SERIES X --> LG 65 QNED90 --> SONY HT Z9F (eARC)

    there is very noticeable delay on Atmos but don't have delay on any uncompressed sound like 5.1 or 7.1

    XBOX SERIES X --> SONY HT Z9F (eARC) --> LG 65 QNED90

    the atoms sound is sync with image, but I got a ton of delay on controller input, so I set TV image mode to Game Optimize,

    and set game mode to FPS, the controller input delay is gone, but now, i got atoms delay back...

    By the way, because my TV doesn't support DTS - X PASSTHROUGH, so when I connect XBOX to my soundbar, I could enable DTS X, and DTS X is working perfectly and there is no any delay comparing to Dolby Atmos.

    Razer Blade 15 with RTX 2070 MAX Q --> LG 65 QNED90 --> SONY HT Z9F (eARC)

    I don't have any input or atmos sound delay in this set.

    So here is conclusion:

    xbox series x has issue to passthrough Atmos content, even thought it is directly connect to sound bar, the sound or TV try to delay image to sync with atmos sound which causes a ton of input delay. But once you set the TV into low legacy input mode to get rid of input delay, the Atmos sound delay will be back.

    And Razer blade 15 with RTX 2070 MAX Q which is PC is perfectly working at Atmos without any issue.

    So this is definitely XBOX SERIES X ISSUE!!!!
