    defrag xbox one


    skyrim se for xbox one has an allocated 5GB space for mods. is there a way to defrag this space, either as a consumer, or a developer? as in, can i do some super secret squirrel controller button combo on a particular tab to start a defrag of that space,
    or can the developer (in this case bethesda) add code to defrag that 5GB space for consumers?

    I have a WD Elements 5TB external hard drive. Like a computer, I know it's essential to Defrag the hard drive for performance. My question is: is there a way to Defrag my external hard drive for my Xbox One? I am noticing a little bit of slow down,
    especially load times on games.

    xb1and defragging.

    the xbox one like the 360 has a different file system and the harddrive is formatted differently, there should be no need to defrag. so you think you know that it needs defragging yet Microsoft who built the darn thing don't, Microsoft know what there doing.

    I think only thing making a new harddrive quicker is that it would be defragmented.

    And Xbox has so far not had any defrag tool - which there are a number of requests for on uservoice.

    A drive does not become slower over time. I use a 14 year old XP machine writing this still with original drive in place. That one is 3200 rpm but the same as when I bought it.

    Also have a second drive on it which is 7200 rpm.

    Performance boost is always defragmenting.

    Gold currency yes I seen this happen during beta and again on update 2.4 I needed to remove the complete game and reload it after loading it I defraged it to prevent it from happening again. but there is an issue I have run into on the one console it doesn't
    allow you to defrag any more the first day I downloaded on my one console it didn't show but still allowed me to defrag with LT/RT/RB/RT/Y now Christmas has passed I have no longer been able to defrag the content and have been reciving server lag herendously
    on a 100 Mbps network. so good luck reload hope it works for you....

    DO NOT defrag if your main drive is SSD. Not only is defragging an SSD completely pointless, you can seriously damage its lifespan. SSD's have no moving parts and do not slow down due to fragmentation!
