Defective XBox 360 counsel

I decided the other day to check with Microsoft about sending it in for repair. We have a lots of gamed and the kids would like to play them. When I went to my Microsoft account none of the counsels were listed. What happen to them? I entered
the serial number again and of course was told the counsel was out of warranty. I would like to send this counsel in for repair, but am afraid I'll get another defective counsel back. What recourse would I have if the repair doesn't correct the red circle
of death? Plus it isn't cheap to send the counsel back .

Do you have a new method of tracking the units to make sure the same counsel is return.

Thanks for coming to the forums. Xbox 360 if they are out of warranty are no longer serviced by Microsoft. You can check around and may find one out there to purchase although there may not be many out there. Other than that, you may want to look into upgrading
to an Xbox one as Parity mentioned. Some or all of your games may be able to be played on the Xbox one as backward compatible. Here are a couple links that will help if you decide to upgrade.

That console is no longer sold. You would probably be better served replacing it with an Xbox One. Putting more money in that console is not very cost effective.

Your 360 might be defective. You mentioned that read on the forums about this problem, that is why I assume your 360 is defective. Call Xbox Support.
