    Defective Wireless Headset


    Im very upset I've only used my headset 3 times and the mic boom is broke once I pressed the mute button . I've very careful with all my items I've purchased so this isn't something common for me. Upon researching I see that this is a defect with the headset . I've tried to do the warranty online but it said it has expired even though it's supposed to be a year warranty.     I feel about as bad as M$ did selling me 4 defective consoles, 8 defective wireless headsets, and recalling my racing wheel cause it could catch on fire.

    Issue Connecting to Xbox LIVE

    Do you have a wireless headset (eg. Turtle Beach)? If so, turn it off to see if it improves anything.

    I would still recommend you to try connect your console with an Ethernet cable. If you are able to connect properly with a wired solution, it could be your external wireless network adapter that is defect.

    I also posted that my Wireless Headset broke in the same exact location and way that Big.Sugar's did. You can see my pics at the bottom of this post. I also tried to get a repair order started on mine and the Microsoft website won't let me. My headset is registered and still under warranty. How do I get this defective mic arm fixed or replaced?

    Controller disconnects when xbox one mic is plugged into it.

    Then it would seem there are two possible causes here. 1) You have a defective headset, 2) You have a defective controller. Do you have any friends or family you might borrow a headset from just to eliminate it being a controller issue?
