    so for a few days now I have had a problem with my controler. The dpad keeps moving down all the time, I tried swapping the dpad button mapping open options but

    It still won't work, Any ideas

    New XBox 1 Scorpio Shipped With Defective Controller

    Brand new XBox Scorpio was shipped with a defective controller (Dpad right button is shorted).

    The unit is out of stock at place of purchase.

    Not only due I have to pay shipping for a brand new product that is defective and never been used, but

    Microsoft is going to ship me a reconditioned controller.

    Another broken controller.

    After buying the covert forces controller in june I have had so many issues with it. The controller I first received had a defective dpad, that took a lot of pressure to use. I searched on the internet and its a common issue, but MS doesn't ever acknowledge
    it. I was then told to send it in on my dime, which I did. Got the replacement and that was defective as well. Had the same dpad issue but also the Y button was completely stuck and wouldnt decompress which made the controller unusable. I was then told to
    exchange the controller at the MS store, which is a 2 hour drive. I did this in hopes that I would get a decent controller, but after getting home, I opened the box and started using the controller. Now I have issues with this one as well. The dpad still doesn't
    work without using excess pressure, and the left trigger is rubbing against the casing of the controller. Where do I go next? Can someone please help me!!!!!

    Covert Forces controller d-pad problems

    Just recently replaced my launch controller with this controller to get the 3.5 jack and have had issues with the Dpad. To get down to read, I have to push it with force. If I barely push on it like I would on my old controller it doesn't respond at all.
    I searched google and these forums and it seems like more than a few have the same issue. Is this a defect with a batch of the controllers? Hope someone can help me :)

    Weapons Firing Rate Change

    I think the Dpad toggles the fire rate for weapons. Im not sure if its left or right though (maybe down or up), but use the Dpad.

    OutboundTuna73 to get the best support you would really be best off creating your own thread.

    however just a couple of things to check.

    The hdmi lead is in the output hdmi port on the xbox and not the input ? trust me this is easily done

    Try this blind guide into the settings that I usually give to people who have changed the output resolution but I can't guarantee it will work for you.

    Power the xbox on and the controller on but DO NOT touch any buttons or the dpad or thumbsticks.

    Using the dpad only make the following movements and button presses

    press the menu button on the controller

    down twice on the dpad

    press A

    right three times on the dpad

    down once on the dpad

    press A

    press A

    down once on the dpad

    press A

    Let me know how that goes for you..

    Xbox keeps scrolling down

    I tried this also, but in that menu it still tries to scroll down even if it only takes input from the dpad...

    I've noticed something weird today if I hold up from the dpad I can use the joystick to move around with no problem, as soon as I release the dpad it starts scrolling down again.

    Defective D-pad on transforming controller

    i also am having this problem. i purchased the controller with a transforming dpad to play street fighter 4. after a month the dpad broke off, i took it back to walmart and they replaced it with another. after another month the same exact thing happend.
    does anyone know if a more durable dpad is being sold somewhere.
