    Defective - Call of Duty Modern Warfare Two


    This has several threads without resolution so I am posting an update. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will not progress beyond the “Press A to Start” screen at the start. It loads the user profile, but then will not move forward. All ideas to solve this so far shared by Microsoft have not worked.

    I have restarted the system, deleted and reinstalled the profile, reformatted the entire Xbox, and deleted and reinstalled the game, among other steps. Deleting and reinstalling the game did work for one time, but now the same problem is happening again. This should not be the solution on a daily basis.

    This is highly annoying and should not happen. I’m hoping Activision and Microsoft can resolve this ASAP so countless users are not scammed from a defective product.

    Why is it whenever I put my Modern Warfare 2 Cross Gen disc into my Xbox it doesn’t even start to install or even show up in the Queue? (I just bought the game.)

    Thank you so much for that and do you have the Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, installed? If yes, can you please check if you can install the packs for Call of Duty Modern Warfare II from there?

    Go to "My games and apps" > Installed games > Highlight the game > Press the Menu button > Go to "manage games and add-ons" > Click the game icon.

    Make sure that these packs are installed:

    Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II - Content Pack 2

    Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II - Content Pack 3
