Deep Rock Galactic Problem

While I'm a Steam player, I recently acquired a second copy of the game through the MS store. I have noticed a serious issue. Note that this DOES NOT happen in the Steam version with every single setting in
the game the same and all hardware and peripherals identical (so this is a head scratcher).

When playing the MS Store version, keys intermittently don't recognize that they are being let up on. So tapping D to strafe right will sometimes continue to strafe right indefinitely until I pound other keys
for a few moments to stop it. I

It happens with the Mouse as a well. I have a button mapped on my mouse that is Flares/Toggle Headlamp. about 20% of the time, I go to toss a flare and the game doesn't recognize I've let up on the button and
continues like a long press toggling the headlamp off. I've been using all these binds for months in the Steam version now and I'm completely stumped.

I have not experienced this in other Microsoft Store games.

I played around a little, was going to go from Fullscreen to Windowed fullscreen, but (sigh...) the Microsoft store version doesn't have windowed fullscreen (just fullscreen or windowed with a border) played
with mouse smoothing, tweaked a couple of other things, always the same. Also tried disabling sticky keys in windows.
