Deep Rock Galactic: can't play with the person that gifted me the game

I'm constantly having this issue,

The game is called Deep Rock Galactic. I can play perfectly either alone or on multiplayer. I do not have any fps problems nor bugs that are affecting my experience. But when I play with the person that gave me this game as a gift, at a random time the game
closes with no warning, bug or notification. It usually happens between 15 to 30 minutes.

I tried everything I could find online: checking my fps, whether crossplay in the game was bugged, re-installing, and even changing the game to the same language. It's quite annoying since the whole idea since the beginning was to play together.

Now, it may be important to mention that he plays on console and I play on pc. He bought the game on console and gave me a gift code for pc. Our theory is that it has something to do with the code and (maybe) both games appear to be the same and kicks me
out.

I also tried to play with other console people and had no problem in doing so, that is why I find it strange that I cannot play with the one who gifted me the game.

Has someone experienced something similar to this? How is this possible? I only have problems with this one and I already reached for their support in their homepage but to no avail.

He is, but the game is not part of xbox beta. He bought the early access and gifted me a copy just as any game in the microsoft store.

He did the same with Minecraft for example: he gave me a copy and we played together with no problem. The only difference is that in this case he bought the full game right off the bat.

On your hard drive, there is a folder called ''WpSystem'', take ownership of the folder and rename it to ''WpSystem.old'', save and try downloading the game again.

If the problem persists, follow this path, delete everything from the folder, restart your PC and try downloading the game again.

On pc go to Microsoft store and open xbox you can download and play it on there. You have to get the game pass in order to play. Same goes for the game deep rock galactic
