dedicated servers

So when are these servers gonna work right,fed up with all this putting full clips into people they shoot me once im dead.the 1st 72hours was so much fun and now its poop,and ive seen host migration aswell which means its peer to peer

Lag switching is ridiculously easy to do and impossible to counter.

this game reminds me of the matrix the bit where morpheus is exsplaing to neo about the agents.....men have emtyied entier clips at them and hit nothing...and it's fu***ng anoying i mean 42 rounds and then boom he drops me with a head shot

 

IW already said it's a mixture of Dedis and P2P.

 

For me it seems mostly peer-to-peer rubber bullets.

All this talk about dedi's just seems to far fetch. You would think it would be at it's peak with only 40k players online playing in COD Ghosts on Xbone.

I can't image how much more peer-to-peer we'll see once Xbone has as many players as the 360.

And it's not my connection. On Fiber and the only device in the house connected! 25mb down 3mb up 40ms ping

P2P may actually work better for some people, depending on where their closest dedi is.

 

pretty much all peer to peer. like >90%. The dedicated server stuff while "true" is not near the level it should have been and I chalk it up to IW/Activision trying to lure in more people. It's why I didn't buy the season pass. if Titanfall is as good
as it looks, especially on the Beta, I won't spend another second playing Ghosts. I switched to playing ghosts on the 360 because the connection was more consistant.

I don't have to wreck the other team, but it is obvious when people connect and disconnect how my game experience can drastically change.

 

Yeah, dedis arent all they are cracked up to be. I mean if one dedi is NOT close to you, you'd probably be better off having P2P and playing with 12 other people that are closer to you than the nearest dedi.

 

They work great for me. Of course, I'm located directly equidistant from North Central and East Coast servers, so I get about 30 ms ping from both.

I tried playing COD on a buddy's 360, and it was horrific. Server migrations, constant lag, etc...

After playing on X1, I don't know how I ever played before.

 

Its pretty good for me for the most part, but there is ups and downs. I think mostly dedis for me too.
